Cancer Awareness Campaign

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. It accounts for 7.4 million deaths (around 13% of all deaths) yearly. Cancer often creates fear which comes out of ignorance and misconception. More than 30% of cancer cases could be prevented by modifying life style or avoiding key factors.
RPS school, Mahendergarh Middle wing conducted a cancer awareness program for students and society. In it the cancer was explained in detail with epidemiological viewpoints by Dr. Monu Yadav (SMO ) Dr. Nisha, Mr. Ajay Kakad (Pharmacist) at Civil Hospital Mohindergarah. Also the history of cancer, types assessment of cancer treatment, and kinds of malignant growth treatment accessible was made clear. It was an eye opening seminar, as it focused on the causes that are responsible for this serious disease.
On this occasion, Dr. Pavitra Rao (Chairperson), Dr. Sarita V. Singh (Principal) and Priti Sharma (Middle Wing Head) imparted valuable information about different types of cancer, recent research and prevention measures and discussed the ways, how they could support the people suffered with cancer. All the students came to know that  the unhygienic food taken in the taste of  tongue was fully responsible for various types of cancer like oral, breast, skin blood etc.
The seminar was ended up with a public awareness rally from Civil Hospital Mahendergarh to Bus stand. The students shouted out the slogans and tagged the symbol of cancer to the staff members of hospital and the patients. It was a successful event wherein the students also interacted with the citizens and doctors.
"Prevention is better than cure."
