Gurpurab Celebration

Gurpurab Celebration “Nanak Naam Jahaaz hai Jo Chadhe So Uttre Paar!” Guru Nanak Ji was the first of the ten Sikh gurus and founder of Sikhism. His birth anniversary is observed as ‘Gurpurb’ across the globe. Guru Nanak ji travelled widely to spread the message of oneness and compassion. To observe this auspicious occasion, RPS School Mahendergarh Middle Wing presented a special assembly. The students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire and the assembly commenced with prayer followed by a demonstration of the customary ‘Prabaht Pheri’. Some students shared useful information relating to the life and teachings of ‘Guru Nanak Dev Ji’. The little champs also presented the Shabads and Kirtan. Several in the audience could be seen tapping the floor in devotion. Finally the ‘EK Onkar’ Prayer was chanted by the students in reverence and homage.
